This easy to make chocolate orange bark is such a quick and delicious dessert idea. This is packed full of flavour and is perfect for any chocolate orange lovers! This makes a great dessert or snack to share if you fancy something sweet.

This is a really versatile recipe and is ideal to make if you have cupboards full of ingredients that need using up. I keep this simple with cranberries, orange zest and puffed quinoa, however, you could add any other chopped up dried fruit, nuts, seeds or even biscuits etc to this to help reduce food waste.

I actually came up with this bark because I had some leftover quinoa from my Quinoa Chocolate Crunch Cups that needed using. I tend not to use this as an ingredient too often as I know it is not accesible to everyone and I try to be as inclusive as possible with my recipes. If you are unable to use puffed quinoa in this recipe then substituting it for a puffed rice cereal would work perfectly, just remember to check your chosen brand is gluten free. On that note, you will also need to check the puffed quinoa you use is certified gluten free as some brands will probably be a may contain.

I use dark chocolate in this recipe as I love it when combined with orange, however, if you prefer you could use a milk or white chocolate in its place. If you do not need to use dairy free chocolate then regular chocolate made using cow’s milk will work the exact same way with no need to change the method. I add coconut oil to the melted chocolate to give it a slightly thinner cosistency so it stretches a little bit farther, however, you could skip this ingredient and use more chocolate instead if desired.

I use a 8″ x 8″ brownie tray to make this chocolate orange bark, however, you could use a different sized tray if needed just keep in mind this will alter the thickness of the bark. If you like this bark you may also like my Raspberry Chocolate Bark recipe which you can find here.
