My Oreo Protein Truffles are such a delicious snack perfect for anyone working on increasing their protein intake! A lovely cookie and cream centre enrobed in white chocolate and topped with more Oreo pieces – what more could you want?

I get the occasional request for protein recipes so thought it was about time I shared some on here. This tasty cookie and cream number seemed like the perfect place to start! It will depend on the protein serving in the powder that you use but I worked these out to be just under 8g of protein per ball! This means an afternoon snack of two truffles and a soya latte will offer up over 20g!

Make sure you use a good quality protein powder that suits your specific dietary requirements. Remember to use one you actually like the taste of so it doesn’t ruin these truffles! I use vanilla flavoured but I think chocolate would probably work nicely in this too! If you don’t use protein powder but like the look of these you could simply omit the protein powder and the coconut cream and they should work. This version will be very similar to my 5 Ingredient Cookies & Cream Bites which was actually my starting point for this recipe!

To make these you will need to use full fat coconut milk, ensure you use the creamy part of the mixture rather than the clear watery part if it has separated. Opt for a peanut butter that has a firmer texture as opposed to a runny consistency as it needs to act as a glue in this recipe to stick everything together. If you are unable to have nuts then substituting this for a seed butter would work well, I would not recommend using tahini as the flavour may be too overpowering.

I like these coated in a melted dairy free white chocolate but you could use melted milk or dark chocolate instead if preferred. I iust sprinkle some crushed Oreo style biscuits on top of each protein truffle for decoration, however, if you wanted to completely roll the truffles in it to form a crumb then you could.

I split this mixture into six but feel free to make more or less depending on how big you want to make these truffles.
