These fudgey raw chocolate orange bites are so delicious that you would never guess they are made up of ‘healthy’ nutrient dense ingredients. They are really truffle like in texture and consistency but are made with a combination of gluten free oats, peanut butter and cocoa powder as opposed to cream and chocolate. Like everything else on my website, these are gluten free and vegan and have the added benefit of being sweetened with dates so they are refined sugar free depending on the chocolate used.

A batch of twelve doesn’t last very long in my household as these rich, indulgent tasting chocolates are just too tempting! They are great as a quick dessert but also make a lovely afternoon snack along with a coffee if you need a little afternoon pick me up. They travel well providing they are kept cool so are great to eat on the go! If you like this chocolate orange dessert you may also like the original Chocolate Fudge Bites which you can find here.

These are really quick and easy to make and require no baking meaning they are great to get the kids involved with making. I love the combination of dark chocolate and orange together, however, you could even use a dairy free milk or white chocolate to coat these truffle style treats if preferred. I use gluten free oats and dairy free chocolate when I make these, however, if you do not have dietary requirements you could use regular oats and chocolate without it affecting the method.

I have noted that the prep time for these chocolate orange desserts is 35 minutes, however, please note that this includes the time needed for the chocolates to set. You can place these in the freezer to set if you’re in a rush, however, it is best to store these in the fridge once they are ready.
